The Mayor Newbury responded to a challenge to take a walk round the Market Square blindfolded.

We held a very successful first coffee morning at the Newbury Town Hall. Although these events are a regular feature of community life in Newbury it was the first time that Newbury Lions provided the refreshments.

So that visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum can take a rest or shelter from the weather, Lions Clubs International in the British Isles and Ireland has risen to the challenge of creating a purpose-built new shelter at the site.

To everyone who donated redundant spectacles to us via opticians and through Lion’s members in the Newbury area

President Peter Collicott has handed the chain of office to Lion Colin Mansell after what has been one of our most successful years for fundraising and donations.

Huge chocolate Easter Eggs were distributed to various pubs and clubs in the Newbury area.
